Burnaby’s Tallest Tower Is Coming to Lougheed
Burnaby’s skyline is about to change in a big way. City council has already given the green light, and construction is underway on four new high-rises, one of which will officially claim the title of tallest tower in all of Western Canada.

The Towers
The project is called Pinnacle Lougheed, from Vancouver developer Pinnacle International. It’s not just one tower but a cluster of four: starting at 50 storeys and topping out at an eye-popping 80 storeys, or 850 feet. To put that in perspective: this single tower will rise higher than anything else in British Columbia or west of Toronto.
In total, the development will bring 2,822 new homes plus more than a million square feet of commercial space. Residents will have access to everything from a fitness centre, yoga studio, and swimming pool to lounges, party rooms, co-working spaces, and a children’s playroom. Come summer, the rooftops will be the place to be, with outdoor kitchens, dining areas, and sweeping views of the city.

Location, Location
You’ll find Pinnacle Lougheed at 9850 Austin Road and 9858–9898 Gatineau Place. The site is steps from transit, making it easy to move around Metro Vancouver without being stuck in traffic. Shops, restaurants, and parks are all close by too: basically everything you need within a 15-minute walk, bike ride, or bus trip.
Timeline
The build will roll out in three phases. Phase 1, Towers 1A and 1B, has already entered early presales. No firm completion dates have been set yet, but registrations are open for anyone who wants to stay in the loop as the project moves forward.
