Burnaby Lake is located on the north side of Canada Way across from Buckingham Heights and Deer Lake. Unique to the middle section is a subdivision built mostly in the 1980s and 1990s with all the electrical wires going underground with several cul-de-sacs and great views of the North Shore Mountains with some homes being able to see the Lake! Most of the area is quality single-family homes. There are a couple of townhouse complexes. The established townhouse community Arbourlane located at Burris St near Canada Way (built-in 1980). Also the new high-end townhouse development, Saville Row. Lakeview Elementary is the local school and there is ample park space for families: Burnaby Lake Park, Lubbock’s Wood Park, Deer Lake Creek Parkway, Lakeview Park and Robert Burnaby Park.
The largest parks are Burnaby Lake Park and Robert Burnaby Park.
Burnaby Lake Park offers a MULTITUDE of sports and outdoor activities. The park consists of the Bill Copeland Sports Centre, Sports Complex, C. G Brown Memorial Pool, Bill Copeland Sports Centre Area and the Pavilion. Plus the Regional Park offers walking and horse trails. It is perfect for a sports enthusiast!
Robert Burnaby Park is a nature’s getaway! Surrounded by a forested ravine creek area are numerous amenities: playground, summer outdoor pool, tennis courts, dog park area, jogging and walking trails.
Even though the area is mainly residential is close to the great parks, amenities, shops and businesses on 6th Ave, Highgate/Edmonds town centre and Metrotown.
