PNE Fair 2026: Rides, Concerts, and Classic Fair Fun at Hastings Park
PNE Fair 2026 Brings Rides, Concerts, and Classic Fair Fun to Vancouver from August 22 to September 7
Source: PNE
The last stretch of summer in Metro Vancouver has a familiar soundtrack: mini donuts, midway lights, and the roar of Playland. The PNE Fair returns to Hastings Park for its 2026 run, and it remains BC’s largest and longest-running annual event. Whether you are a longtime resident or new to the area, the Fair is one of those local traditions worth putting on the calendar.
The Fair runs daily except for the two non-holiday Mondays, August 24 and August 31. This year the grounds return to their original layout and expand on last year, so there is more to see across the fairgrounds than before. Everything sits at 2901 East Hastings Street in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood, which is well served by transit and an easy trip from most corners of the Lower Mainland.
What to see and do
Playland anchors the site with its full midway and amusement rides, and the classic fair food is right where you remember it. Beyond the rides, the 2026 programming leans into both old favourites and new features.
- SuperDogs and the lumberjack show return as fan favourites for all ages.
- Farm Country and the Kids Discovery Farm bring farm animals and the ever-popular pig races.
- New this year: the British Columbia Tattoo and Wizard of Oz on Ice join the lineup.
- Nightly fireworks light up the grounds with the Remix Inferno show at 9:45 PM.
- Ride passes can be added on, with a limited-quantity Any Day Thrill Ride Pass from $40.
If you plan on more than one visit, a Fair Season Pass is the better value across the 15-day run. New for 2026, the Any Day Ticket lets you buy in advance and choose any single operating date rather than committing to a fixed day.
Summer Night Concerts at the Freedom Mobile Arch
One of the biggest changes this year is the concert series. The Summer Night Concerts move to the brand-new Freedom Mobile Arch, an open-air amphitheatre built for live music with upgraded sightlines and acoustics. Blue Rodeo opens the season on August 22, in a full-circle moment for the band that closed out the old PNE Amphitheatre.
The lineup runs deep this year and spans rock, pop, hip-hop, and orchestral acts. Canadian names anchor the bill, with Blue Rodeo, The Guess Who, Barenaked Ladies, and Sarah McLachlan. International headliners include Train, Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Zedd, and Boy George & Culture Club. Rounding out the run are The Beaches, Mt. Joy, Pierce The Veil, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Cynthia Erivo with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and the Punjabi Virsa concert series. Tickets start at $49 plus fees, and buying online includes admission to the Fair for that day.
Getting there
Parking near the grounds is paid and fills quickly on concert nights, so transit is the practical choice for most visitors. The Hastings-Sunrise area itself is one of East Vancouver’s steadier residential pockets, close to the water, the park, and a growing set of local shops and restaurants. If the Fair has you thinking about the neighbourhoods around Hastings Park, or anywhere else in Greater Vancouver and Burnaby, that is a conversation worth having.
