Burnaby East

East Burnaby, a primarily suburban neighbourhood, is close to numerous options for easy access to many major routes, using Kingsway, Canada Way, Highway #1 and Lougheed Highway to get you where you want to go quickly! The neighbourhood has the 6th Ave commercial strip for a variety of ethnic restaurants, shops and services as well as close access to Edmonds and Highgate shopping centres. There are a few smaller parks in the area, Graham Park, Eastburn Park and George H. Leaf Park. Many of the residents here enjoy Robert Burnaby Park just to the north-west of the neighbourhood. It provides a convenient nature getaway that is unique to the area. The park was established during the depression. It features a forested creek ravine; a great network of walking trails, a playground, a summer outdoor pool, tennis courts, a dog park area and the area is surrounded by nature!

The neighbourhood consists mostly of detached houses and duplexes.

The Crest

The Crest is named appropriately as many homes are on the side of the hill and have awesome views of the mountains and some homes have views of Fraser River! This location is close to numerous options for easy access to many major routes, using Kingsway, Canada Way, Highway #1 and Lougheed Highway to get you where you want to go quickly!!

The Crest has tons of green space, parks and is centrally located in schools, an ideal area to raise a family! The George Derby Conservation area connects to Robert Burnaby Park which makes a substantial natural space. Also, Millview Park, Cumberland Park and Cariboo Park are within the subdivision giving the locals many options to meet and play!

Local gems are the 15th Ave pedestrian overpass which has the most amazing views of Burnaby Mountain to Downtown Vancouver. Plus, the best spot for views to the east to see the Port Mann Bridge and the Mountains is Cariboo Park.

Although the Crest is away from the busier parts of Burnaby residents have access to the Crest Plaza with a grocery store, bakery, drug store, medical clinic, bank, cafes, & restaurants. It is a short drive to the New Westminster Canada Games Pool/Community Centre and to the Royal Square Mall.

The Crest’s real estate market is primarily made up of detached houses and townhouses.
